Appraisals
Since 2014, Sally Whitman Coleman, PhD has provided appraisals of personal property, focusing on fine art from all eras with a specialization in Post-War, Contemporary Art, and Emerging Art as well as Western Art.
All appraisals are prepared in accordance with the current Uniform Standards for Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) as determined by the Appraisal Foundation in Washington, DC and Sally is compliant through June 21, 2026. Sally meets the criteria set by the IRS as a Qualified Appraiser as an Accredited Member of the Appraisers Association of America, having the appropriate professional education and experience.

About
Sally Whitman Coleman, PhD is an art historian and personal property appraiser. She earned a doctoral degree in art history at the University of Texas at Austin and has been teaching art history at universities in central Texas for more than 25 years. Her undergraduate degree is from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. Sally is the recipient of several academic grants and awards, including Phi Beta Kappa and a Fulbright Grant to conduct dissertation research in Europe. She has presented numerous papers and invited lectures and has published scholarly and popular essays on art.
